Fine of 2 million euros imposed on the local police officer from Palma who was renting substandard housing to immigrants.

The local police officer who was arrested for renting storage units to undocumented immigrants will face a fine ranging from two to three million euros. It has been confirmed by sources that the Housing Department has initiated disciplinary proceedings against this person and will impose the appropriate penalty for creating substandard living conditions in violation of the law. This means fines ranging from 30,000 to 90,000 euros for each violation. Since there are a total of 73 storage units involved (which are deemed unfit as dwellings), the total amount will significantly exceed two million euros.

Additionally, the officer is under investigation for harassing one of his tenants. The situation unfolded when the woman paid the requested amount but was later asked for payment again by the officer. When she refused to comply, he filed a lawsuit against her for non-payment. The victim possesses evidence of her payment, which led her to report the officer for harassment due to his persistent and unwanted actions.
